It is possible to do this since InfoPath supports xpath and xpath supports current row functionality. You might want to search for Current() or XSF. Greg blogged on the former several years and Jimmy has blogged on the latter more recently. Sorry I can't be more help.

External Data Source List Entries from a Dynamic Web Service.

I am having an issue using dynamic list options within repeating sections and tables using InfoPath 2007. I have a web service that returns the available options for a List box. One of the parameters for the Web Service method is used for defining a filter on the returned results (effectively allowing a user to filter the available options).I’ve got a bound field configured up to use the Data Source for the list options; and by adding the parameter field as part of the queryFields for the Data Source filters the results within the Web Service method. All this works brilliantly at the root level of the main data source (I was impressed with how easy it was to do this with InfoPath). The problem I am having is that this solution is not working when the list is within a Repeating Section or Table. The best way to describe what is happening is all instances of the list share the same options, and the filter used is again shared. Is there any way to do the kind of thing I’m after?

Regards
