When I was looking for a link to give you with more information on UDC's, I came across this, which kind of has me wondering if you couldn't create a UDC to your PeopleSoft data directly....

Re: Oracle / Sql data connection

I checked with our DBA and he said that we do have SSIS installed. He said that he would check into setting up a connection. If all of this works, would my next step be to create a data connection library in SharePoint then create a data connection from InfoPath?

Re: Oracle / Sql data connection

Hey, just a thought -- you have a SQL db -- do you have SSIS installed? If so, you could use SSIS to copy data to a SQL table from your PeopleSoft db, couldn't you? And schedule it to run as often as needed to update your SQL table.... That way you wouldn't have to build a web service for your PeopleSoft database.

However, if that won't work for you, here's a web service tutorial that might help you get started...

Oracle / Sql data connection

I have looked but was unable to find anything about this. We have a browser based form setup that is working fine. I have multiple data connections for the drop downs that received data from SharePoint lists. However, one of the drop downs need to pull information from PeopleSoft. We currently have a BDC connection for an employee list that works fine. I understand that InfoPath cannot use this XML file to connect. I have found one thing on the internet that said to create a web method to make the connection.
