You mean SharePoint library instead of "list" right? If so, this should work without code. We do this all the time. Need more info though. To do e-mail via Forms Services, you'll want to have an optional section at the top of the form that includes the link to the form. The section should be hidden by default. Add a submit button and a rule with a bunch of actions:

Submit To SharePoint - you'll need to create a unique ID based on timestamp (you can concatenate username() with now() )

Query SharePoint library to get list of forms saved (including this one)

Set link value by filtering based on the unique ID of the form to the Get the form's name

Set the link to the concatenation of the URL for the SharePoint site and the form's file name

Set a value that conditionally shows the section

Send the form to your e-mail data connection. The e-mail connector will include the form in the e-mail with the link on top. Do not include the form as an attachment in e-mail.

When a user opens the form, they can click the link on top to open the form in the browser.

Voila! No code and you have a rockin Outlook and SharePoint solution!

Contact us if you need a sample. We may need a donation of blood to keep the vampires happy.

e-mail and SharePoint data connections

My goal is to have my InfoPath forms distributed in Outlook 2007, i.e. Forms folder, and to have data from the forms completed within Outlook submitted to a SharePoint list. I thought, ah, maybe I can do this without code by adding both an e-mail and a SharePoint data connection to my form - wrong! Attempting to publish the form with both those data connections fails - not permitted. I am still hoping to use InfoPath for this solution as opposed to having to go down the path of a custom Outlook form/VSTO scenario since I'm using InfoPath forms services elsewhere in the same organization. Any one else done a similar solution and any pointers? I'm assuming this is something I can't do OOB.

Thanks.
