InfoPath is a rich client application, not a Web application. SharePoint comes with InfoPath Forms Services which turns InfoPath forms into web-based forms. Those forms can indeed access a database through an intermediate Web Service described in a UDC file. We use InfoPath to edit all of the data in our database. We developed a Web Service to help others to the same. It's called DBXL. Free downloads exist.

I am looking for the easiest application to create a web Interface that works sql server and with IIS to inventory pc's for intermediate use.

I am in the market to create a web interface to add/edit/delete/retrieve data from a sql database and that uses IIS as a web server. I want to know which is the easiest application to build this web interface and user friendly as possible.
I was looking in to InfoPath but was breifly researched that i didnt work with IIS. Is this true?
