External data connection and high local cpu utilization on selecting choice from drop down

Hi,

I have an form drop down list field calling an external data source pulling in my company's email addresses.

I'm working in InfoPath 07 but saving the template down to 03. I have the same issue if I save the template as an 07 template and the issue is the same on another system.

When i click on the field (design mode or in production), all the email addresses are there to choose from.

Upon selecting an actual email address, my local cpu utilization goes thru the ceilling and it takes 4 - 5 minutes for the email address to actually populate in the field.

There seems to be a ton of local cpu processing going on.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
