I think you have directly pasted the concat function in the file name field. Follow the below steps.

1. Go to the File name box. Click on fx button beside of that.

2. Click on Insert function in "Insert formula" window.

3. Select concat in "Insert Function" window.

4. Write the "test_form" as first parameter, select the field1 as second parameter and then click ok until all windows gets closed.

Using concat() in filename, changes filename to "concat()" ???

I'm trying to publish a Infopath 2003 SP3 form to a SharePoint 2007 (MOSS 2007 SP1) server.

If I publish it with a filename, like "test_form", when I create a new document and press submit, it generates the form named "test_form". If I substitute one of the required fields (field1) in the filename and create a new document, it names it correctly (value of field1).

I'm defining a workflow process for the form and need to have a unique name for each form that's submitted.

If I use the concat() function for the filename, for example, concat("test_form", field1), the filename that's generated is 'concat(_test_form_, field1)' [without the single quotes]. Not the concatenated results that I'm expecting, but the actually name of "concat...". No matter what I include in the concat() function, it substitues underscores for the quotes and returns the litteral string.

What am I doing wrong?
