I would move the data to SQL or a BDC and then setup UDCs in SharePoint for your form data connections. 14 fields should not take very long in this scenario.

Data Connection time out issue

I've read a few other posts in the forum but couldn't find an answer so I'm going to ask my own.

I have a browser-based form with the initial text field being required. When the user fills in that box (Employee Number) there are other fields on the form that use a secondary data connection to pull info from an Access DB. The form waits for about 10 seconds and then receives an error message that says "Stop Running the Script".

I am trying to pull in about 14 or so values from Access. If I drop to pulling in 3-5 fields I don't get the timeout.

I have increased the Form Services data Connection settings on Central Admin from 10K ms to 40Kms and max timeout from 20K ms to 90K ms, still get the popup error.

is there anything else I can do so I can have the form pull in all of the desired (and needed) info?

Should my Access DB just be synced to SharePoint and therefore the info held within SharePoint? would that be faster?

thanks!!
