Also I believe if you add a button it is a rules type by default.

Then you can add a rule called Submit.

And add an action which is a submit to data connection and pick the first data connection you want.

Then add a second action which is a submit to data connection and pick the second.

Then you can get all fancy and add lots more actions or conditions, etc.

Re: InfoPath Secondary Submit

Clay,

Can you provide an example for a rule for a multi submit?

Re: InfoPath Secondary Submit

You can have multiple submits.

You can setup multiple data connections to SharePoint, Email, SQL.

My guess is that you are using the Submit Options, if so you need to switch to using Rules where you can then add multiple submits instead of choosing just one.

Are you using the submit in the tool bar or a button. Either way select rules and custom code and then add Submit Actions for each.

InfoPath Secondary Submit

As a newbie I have been able to get InfoPath to submit to a list on our portal site where users can view, edit, etc and get a form to read/write data to an MS_SQL database. I just can't seem to get the one form to be able to do both. I have heard that you have to "code" a secondary submit but wanted to get feedback on how this works and whether what is being talked about is a web service or something else. Thanks.
