I would probably change the data structure and then cascade it, use the current() function and set rules to blank out the second DD where first DD is changed.

If I couldn't change the data structure, you would have to look at applying the current() function in your code, but I think this might not be straightforward.

I hope this helps

I have a repeating table of dropdown lists where the options in the second dropdown list are dependent on the selection from the first one. The cascade is achieved just fine using an OnAfterChange script that runs a custom query on a secondary data source...

var query = "SELECT [id],[text] FROM [datatable] WHERE [FieldA] = " + eventObj.Source.xml;
XDocument.DataAdapters['datatable'].Command = query;
XDocument.DataAdapters['datatable'].Query();

My only problem is that, when I have more than one row in my repeating table, ALL of the second dropdown list options are cascaded based on the most-recently selected first dropdown list option.

Does anyone know of a way to "lock in" the options for all secondary dropdown lists, only allowing the options to change when the associated first dropdown list is changed?

BTW, I am running individual queries for each selection because I am working with a very large data source... it takes way too long to load the whole table once and just run filters on the data.

Thank you very much for any tips...

Regards, Karsten
