The problem is that the Properties box for the Drop-Down List Box has no rules button to click. I have Data, Size, & Advanced tabs in the property box. Under the Data tab it has a section for Binding, Validation (it has a validation button but no rule button), and List Box Entries. It is infopath 2003.

Any suggestions?

Re: auto populate field

Hi mlaffoon Welcome to the Forum,

Please check out this tutorial:http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=9111ef580f95479890fc18fb2c5bac85

auto populate field

Situation:

I am creating a new timesheet form. I have an access database that has 2 columns (ClientName & Client#). In my Infopath form I have 2 columns (ClientName & Client#). Both are drop downs. Right now I do have it to where you can use the drop down to find the Client Name and Client Number. What I want is the ability to select the client name and have the number automatically populate (or select the number and have the name automatically appear).

I am new at this (obviously). Any tips?
