InfoPath Data Source and Query question

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your help, I am new to InfoPath and SharePoint so please bear with me. I have developed an Access database that link to several SharePoint list, which is working great. So, the frontend is Access and the backend database is Sharepoint. I need to implement the following requirements using InfoPath and I am confused as to where to start.

I would like the application (with the click of a button) to :

1. Email an embedded InfoPath form that is pre-populated with data from an external datasource, which is a linked SharePoint list in the access database.

2. Once the employee receives the email embedded with the infopath form, he completes the rest of the form. When the form is submitted, it modifies the appropiate record in the sharepoint list.

I have created the infopath form using the "Blank" form template. I have the pieces, I just do not know how to put it all together. Your help is very much appreciated.

Questions:

1. With the above requirements, is the Blank template the correct template to use?

2. How do I query the list to pre-populate the infopath form?

3. The linked sharepoint list contain the email address of the employee I need to send the email to. How do I input the email address into the infopath email?

4. Can the user preview the email that will be sent out, before sending it?

I have the application pieces, I just do not know how to put it all together. Your help is very much appreciated
