Display Name for Null Value in drop-down list populated by external data source

Hi,

I have a drop-down list in my form that is populated by an external data source. The default value is NULL, (which is what I want it to be) however, the display name is also NULL. When you manually set the drop-down list choices, the default value is NULL and the display name for that value is "Select...". I'd like to set the display name for the default value (NULL) to "Select..." when getting my choices from an external data source as well. I've done this before a long time ago, but can't remember how. I believe I was able to acomplish by editing the manifest.xsn in notepad.

This is really more of an annoyance than a major issue; nevertheless any help would be greatly appreciated.
