Thanks Hillary - it is for IP 2010 so I can't open it (using IP 2007) but that's okay. I assume its like the sample we are working on.

Thank you Patrick. Hillary is correct, I am getting close but I would like to look at your sample. I am receiving the following error message when I try though;

Access Denied: Not Administrator

You are not an administrator."

Hi Doreen,

I heard from Hilary that you already got something working, so maybe no response is needed here, but I've uploaded the sample from our 2013-05-30 webinar: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/examples/entry90343.aspx. This is a generic sample showing how to have a variable number of comments per repeating section - i.e. doesn't have to match the number of fields in the section but can be greater than one.

Say I have two fields in a repeating table row; field1 and field2.

I want field1 to repeat as long as there is data to fill the row (retrieve data on load from database via dbxl).

I want field2 to be blank and only appear once, at the bottom of the rows, after field1 rows are done populating. My user will fill in field2 - it's a comment field.

How is this acheived?
