Yes, I forgot to mention that the fields were originally Date fields, but were changed to text.

All I had to do was remove offending controls off the canvas and replace them.

How to disable date autocompletion in textbox

Hi, I have a textbox (text/string type) that aloows users to type in variations of dates (e.g. May 2012, 05/2012, 03/05/2012 etc.)

We just want to store the value typed in, since nothing will be done with the date at the end of the day.

The issue is that whenever the user types in anything resembling a date (e.g. May 2012) the textbox automatically sets the value to 1 May 2012.

I have unchecked AutoComplete on the properties of the textbox, but this did not fix it.

Any ideas would be welcomed.
