You could use a repeating table and populate the label from a secondary data source (XML resource file) included in the XTP using an expression boxes (same as "calculated value" in 2010).

XTPs include the data connections (DCs). So, as long as you create the data connection and convert it to a Universal Data Connection stored on SharePoint, the XTP will add the DC to your form automatically. If you doin't have SharePoint or need offline (sorry, but I forget), you can just leave the DC in the form as a non-converted DC and it should still copy over fine.

Best of luck!

Template part and data connections

Hi,

I've just created a form that has several data connections for receiving data. There are also about a hundred rows of label, date picker, text box, check box (without a label), text box (multiple lines). The last 4 controls are exactly the same, but the labels are all different, so that excludes a repeating table, since the RT is repeating at runtime, not in dev, so I can't add labels. Is there an elegant way to create a form like this? I was thinking template part for the 4 controls, but then there are spacing issues.

Also, how can I create a template part that I can reuse, but has the same data connections that my parent form has, without duplicating the data connections?

IP 2007, not browser-enabled due to rich text and multiple choice fields.

Thanks as always,
