Have you tried adding some dummy data to the table (more than one row!) to give InfoPath a hand as it tries to intuit the schema?

Re: Repeating Table within a Repeating Section.

Not one response? I need help please.

Repeating Table within a Repeating Section.

Been ages since I had to develop a new IP form and the brain has locked on what should be a simple question. Any help would be appreciated.

I am developing an order form for supplies that may get shipped to multiple locations.

I created a repeating section that is tied to a SQL table and collects event name, ship to address, etc. Repeating so that multiple orders can be placed on the same form even with different shipping addresses.

Now what I need is a repeating table tied to the same data source within the repeating section. This is where the user will select from a drop down the items they need. The drop down is poulated by another SQL table. I want a repeating table so the user can order multiple items for the same event.

Without the repeating table, the user would have to enter the event name and shipping for each item ordered. Not desireable.

When I try to add a repeating table to the repeating section tied to the same data source I get the error "A Repeating Table must be bound to a field or group that repeats". The SQL data source set set to repeat since the section repeats.

What obvious issue am I missing?

Thanks for any help.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDITED

I just tried creating a secondary data connection to the same database but being that it is secondary, I cannot make it repeating.
