In the dropdown box(HolidayRequestorName) that gets its data from an external source, create a rule HolidayRequestorEmail = current() which puts a relevant number in the Holiday requestor email box.

Then in the HolidayRequestorEmail box create a rule Set fields value: HolidayRequestorEmail = gavin.meredith@***.co.uk and set the condition to 'HolidayRequestorEmail = 2 (or required number)'

Maybe not the right way to do it but it works, thats taken me a good half a day to figure out :)

Auto-Populating an email address field from a Drop Down (linked to an external source)

Hello,

I am very new to all this and have been thrown in the deep end so to speak.

I have a drop down menu that contains a list of my colleges names and that box gets its data from a SharePoint list. What i am trying to do is select a name from the drop down list and have it auto-populate the users email address in a text box.

I am managing to get this to happen to an extent by crating a rule (setting the condition to Employee_Name - its equal to - *** *****. This works but only if i create one rule, as soon as i create a second the first rule get cancelled and the email box displays the last rule i crated?

e.g. rule1 - if requestor name = gavin meredith set requestor email to gavin.meredith@****.co.uk (this works if only one rule exists) Rule2 - if requestor name = chris winter set requestor email to chris.winter@***.co.uk (this rule the overwrites rule 1 and everybodys email address ends up as the last rule created)

I have managed this before but not with a box that gets its data from an external source.

I hope that is not to confusing and thank you in advance for any help I receive.
