In my form I replaced that with a text box so that I could control the color of the font when that particular button was chosen or not. Under the Display tab I have "Read Only" selected. Under the Size tab I have the width set to "auto". The next button is positioned in its column by spaces after the text box.

The original default value in the text box was "Multi-Machine". I updated that to "Multi-Machine (PNOZ M1p)" and adjusted the spaces after the text box to reposition the next button.

After publishing I open a new form and everything appears correct. But when I open a previously filled in form the original default value is displayed and the next button is not properly aligned.

I have made multiple attempts trying different things to remedy this but to no avail. I had a similar problem before and was told that a "cached" version of the document was being opened. I know this is not the case because as a test I set the width of the text box to "177 px" to get the position of the next button correct and republished the form. When I open a new form it again appears OK but when I open the previously filled in form the position of the next button is correct but the value is only "Multi-Machine".

One of the things I have tried was to delete the text box and the data source then publish the form. The previously filled in form shows this missing. I then rebuilt the text box with the new default value and republished the form. I have the same problem.

I am at a complete loss as to what is happening. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've just done a test where I deleted the original text box and it's data source and inserted a new text box i then published the form after each change to the new text box to see what caused this problem. the problem arose when I use the same data source name. The only way to avoid it at this point is to give the control a different name.

BTW how do I get paragraphs to to be separated here in this forum? They're here when I type this but when I post they're gone.
