The question is, if I have thousands of these external contacts and I create a list for them, is it possible to somehow configure the Person/Group picker to pull from a list? Or is it possible to add external users who will never have access to SharePoint to a SharePoint Group? Or, is there another picker that acts like the person/group picker and is good for searching and picking from very large lists? I do not want to have a drop down, and would like to have a button to add from address book or something similar. Is there an out of the box solution or do I need to develop my own control for this?
