In the end I took a copy of the form and opened it in a new solution. When I dragged the control on to the form it appeared. Must have been something buggy with the first solution. It has been created using VS 2008 and can be opened using infopath and a browser. I have recently added a new textbox by dragging the control from the toolbox on to the form. I have bound it to a new field I have added to the main data source. It all seems to work fine until I notice that the textbox control isn&#39;t appearing when I view the manifest in xml editor. </p> <p>All of the other controls appear in an xsf:editing element, however the new control is no where to be seen. I can view it on the form when I open the manifest in design mode and when I debug it. I have compared the properties of this text box to those already existing and don&#39;t notice any differences. The only difference I notice is that in design mode (and run) the&nbsp;new text box border is light grey. All of the other controls have a darker border. I&#39;m new to infopath forms and am wondering if I am missing some steps. Please help.&nbsp;</p> <p>Thanks.</p>
