Not sure this is the right area to post in but here goes:

We have a set of infopath 2003 forms that we have a custom code button on that sends the form as an email. When this is used, the email sent has the form attached as well as the form in the body. all good so far. On the mailbox that the form gets sent to, we have a listener service that checks emails as they come in and raises service requests in our helpdesk system as well.

What we are trying to do is get the contents of the form into the description field of the servicedesk tool. We have done this via a transform file that reads the body of the email.

This works but only under certain curcumstances. If a form is completed and sent, we do get a SR raised, but the description field contains data from the form that is not correctly formatted. If the same form in the same email is then forwarded to the listener, it works as expected. We believe that the difference is within the formatting that the mail is sent, when sending from the form, it looks to be sent from infopath, not outlook and that the mail is not sent in html format.

If there are any xml\infopath experts out there any feedback would be appreciated. I can give more info if needed.

Thanks,
