The fields usually don't look nicely if left alone.

So before the email is sent, a rule hides the "filling out" section and shows the "emailing" section, which I've designed to look "pretty".

In the scenario of a field with variable width, I use "Auto" as the height and this seems to work in the email views (expands as necessary).

Expanding Text boxes and getting them to show all the content.

The company I work for has decided to use InfoPath as the application to create and publish forms used throughout the company. I'm running into an issue where an end user is filling out a text box (such as a comments section) and is deciding to write a novel to us. There were complaints that the text boxes were cutting off their text if they began typing outside the bounds of the box. Limiting the user to a certain number of characters is not an acceptable solution according to the dept. owning this form. I changed the control into a multi-line control which expands as the user types outside the normal bounds of the box. During the process of the E/U entering his info into the control everything looks fine, they type until they hit the normal bounds of the control and the control expands as they continue typing so they can see everything they've typed. When the E/U goes to send the form in an email(outlook 2007), the form reverts back to the normal bounding box and the text is cut off again.

Does any ideas on getting the additional text/increased size of the control to stop being cut off when this form is sent through outlook?
