Like I said, a complete beginner in InfoPath....

Thanks Anis, this is exactly what it should do! I tried to create some similar solution, with grouping the groups otherwise, but couldn't get it to work.

Hope you also have maybe a solution for my other problem? This concerns the values that shoud be filled in at the Alpha & Beta textboxes. Users should fill these in, and the box next to beta should result a value from a search-matrix....?

in the attachment I've added an example, and the matrix table....
(maybe I'm polluting the topic right now?)

Have you tried right-clicking the file in Windows Explorer and clicking Design?

Hello,

No I can't get it to open. Maybe because I'm working on a server? I can save the file, but trying to open it will give the error as in the attachment.
Tring to open it, instead of saving it, I will get a box to fill in username and password?

check if it works now(you might need to use [save as] to save the file once it is downloaded on your machine), if not give me your email id and i will send the attachment

Unfortunatly I can't open your document. I get a warning of security. Something like: "The file should be at location f://c:/documentsandsettings/anisq/......" This is translated from Dutch, so it's not quite exact....

Hello Patrick,

thanks for your reply. Maybe I had to mention that I'm an absolute beginner in InfoPath. These things I'm trying to do, I have done before in Excel. Only problem was that wasn't really clear to users.
So therefore the idea came to make a nice form in InfoPath.

I've tried to read the posts you mentioned, and I have done alot of reading already through these forums, but i don't get it.
I also tried lot's of things in InfoPath, but I can't get it to work.
Maybe can you or someone make me a small example or something?

Hello,

I'm trying to make a form for users, who can add some values, and the form will do the calculation. This form is for calculating daylight in a building.

Now I have a section in which users can add for example a window, and type how much glass there is etc. This part is repatable, so multiple windows can be added. This works fine, and I can make one box calculate the sum off all the glass total.

So far so good.

But now, I want this complete section to be repeatable, so for another room in the house, the calculation can be made again.

Her comes the problem, If i do this, all values typed in the first section will be copied into the repeated section. This is not good, the values should be unique.

Look at my attached file, and I hope someone can help me!
