Not sure of a trick for that other than to use the IsDirty qRules that Qdabra has in version 1.7. 1.6 is available for download right now from this site, but 1.7 will be available later this week. You can check for data validation and use it to disable the button (or any other control). I have already verified that this works and will be writing a blog on how to do it. Other than this, I don't know a way to do conditional formatting based off invalid data.

Ok, Here is my problem:

I have two fields, one is text box(formatted to whole number) and the other is button. If user inputs number in the first field, then button should be enabled. If user inputs text in the first field, form has to throw the error message and the button should be in disabled state. Please let me know how can I achieve this? Thanks.

I don't understand why you say "also." The two things you listed are the same unless you're talking about a separate field, but you didn't mention another field. Text instead of dollar amount is the same as text instead of a digit or whole number. A dollar amount is nothing more than a number data type displayed as currency, but the XML is nothing more than unformatted numbers.

I can use either whole number or digit. The only problem I have is, if user inputs some text, it is displaying validation error, but I also want to stop user to proceed if user inputs text instead of dollar amount. Please advise.

Can you not make that digit-only field a Whole Integer data type? If so, then any data input other than digits will throw a validation error. Is there a reason you can't do that, or did you not know how to do that?

For the other field, place conditional formatting on it that says, "If OtherField is blank, disable this control."

Hi, I need to disable one field and throw the error message when the other field contains text. User should input only digits in the textbox. How can I validate this functionality?
