I have a strange intermittent problem on a form I have designed. I wonder if anyone has seen anything similar... Here's a description

I have 2 controls (@StartTime, @EndTime) in a repeating table, which are dates, displayed as times. I then use a VBScript function, to calculate the time interval between the dates as a decimal (@TripTime). I then sum @TripTime over the table to get TotalTripTime (declared control, not from table). I then have another control @TimeCarryForward which is calculated as @PreviousTime + TotalTripTime.

Everything works fine most of the time, except that just occasionally the value in @TimeCarryforward is shown with the dotted red lines around the control - as if my calculation is not recognised as a number. The calculation for @TimeCarryForward is (round(TotalTripTime * 100) / 100) + @PreviousTime

The "round" function is an attempt to avoid this problem.. It appeared to fix the problem for a certain set of problem times, but then the problem appears for another set of times. Even changing the times slighty can cause the problem to appear/go away, so I'm baffled as to what might cause this.

Has anyone seen anything similar?

thanks again,
