It is just the way InfoPath works....

Of course, you can bind a section to one of the fields you are using for data instead of adding another field or group specifically for it.

Re: Non-bound section in a repeating section.

Why?

It has nothing to do with any data... Is there no way to have a section that is just for presentation purposes?

Re: Non-bound section in a repeating section.

Hi,

Yes, you need to bind that section to one control in data source and add the conditional formatting to that control.

Non-bound section in a repeating section.

I have a repeating section (and sometimes 2 or 3 levels deep) and I just want to add a section control, so I can do a show/hide some controls based on a checkbox. The problem is that whenever I try to add one it forces me to try to bind it to something in my datasource.

Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this?
