You can add your condition in Boolean function then it will return correct value as included in your condition is OR and AND.

Here is your condition:

boolean((You are User1) or (You are User2) or (You are User3 AND the Requestor is User4 AND Purchase amount is less than $500.00))

Re: Help with Conditional Formatting

Hi,

Add the following conditions in conditional formatting.

currentUser = "User1" or currentUser = "User2" or (currentUser = "User1" and Requestor = User4 and Purchaseamount < $500)

Help with Conditional Formatting

I'm working on a Purchase Request form and as part of that form there will be an Approver Section. I'm trying to disable the controls in the Approver Section (Approval Status drop down, Approved By text box, and a comments box) to the following conditions.

You are User1

You are User2

You are User3 AND the Requestor is User4 AND Purchase amount is less than $500.00

I guess I started working backwards and I do have it working correctly with step 3. It checks currentuser, requestor, and purchase amount. If the currentuser != User3, the requestor != User4, and the purchase amount is > 500.00. However when I try to add in the steps for User1 and User2, the control is then greyed out for User3 when the condition is met.

Basically User1 and User2 can approve anything. User3 can only approve items requested by User4 if its under $500. Using workflow will determine which approver gets notified. So for a purchase request by User4 for under $500, the workflow will just notify User3. Hopefully that all makes sense. :)
