very nice post. I need a bit help for my problem. I have a similar case, where I want to upload files in a SharePoint libary. Your technique seems very good but I would like to ask you, is it possible to be done in JScript and IP2003, and what would be . Another thing is if it is possible to be done even without attaching the file to the form and then uploading to SP(just like you did, which is also fine).

Thank You,

Use the following script code to submit the attachment to the document library.

attachmentNode = thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("xpath of the attachment control").text;

var data = DecodeAttachment(attachmentNode.text); //decode the attachment text and send that in to data variable.

try

{

// create a xmlhttp object

var oXmlHttp = new ActiveXObject("MSXML2.XMLHTTP");

var url = "url of document library";

//put the document/attachment on SharePoint

oXmlHttp.Open("PUT", url, false);

oXmlHttp.Send(data);

}

Can you verify below link. This solution shows how you can copy InfoPath attachments to SharePoint document library and convert the Base64 string attachment in your InfoPath form into a link to the uploaded SharePoint document

Is there not any OOB way of doing it? If i used the code in that link file will also be present in the infopath file or not?

And What is the meaning of client side coding in InfoPath?

I have created an Infopath form template using Infoath 2007. In this form, I have a file attachment control. My requirement is that whenever a file is attached to that control, then same file must be uploaded to the other document library. So, both infopath and the other library must have the attachment. Is there any OOB way to do it or we will have to code for that? And if later is the case, how to do that by code?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
