Thanks for the reply Clay. I could able to retrieve data from secondary source and saved in main data source fields.

When user selects the checkboxes, selection is saved to main data source fields and retrieved when the user tries to edit them. Now i need to configure the checkbox column as search in sharepoint site. Can that be possible ? i have prepared a field with the selected strings (checkbox) , Can i use this field for configuring the search?

You have to save the data in your form's main data. As you have found secondary data is not saved with the form.

So when they pick a secondary row, copy it to one in your main data source.

I'm using a repeating section to display checkboxes and text from a sharepoint list, These checkboxes allows the user to select and deselect the row. When the user select some checkboxes and submits the infopath(07) form to the sharepoint site , a new SP list is created in the Sharepoint site. So, My problem now is when the user tries to edit the list, the selection of the checkboxes is lost as it is binding to the secondary data source.

Please suggest how to retain the checkbox selection when we use secondary data source as binding. Please provide the code if possible.
