I think this is not a issue in infopath 2007. We have Same issue in infopath 2003 also.

Hi Anuma, Thanks for your repply. i know that one...same thing we can do in validating event of the multilline text box and we can show error message.

we can not limit the user to max extent.

so can we say it as a bug in infopath 2007.

same problem is there in datepicker and rich textbox controls also.

Hi,

We don’t have real good way of limiting a multilane text box.
But we can let user know that they have entered text more than they are supposed to.
This can be done through data validation, by checking the length of the string using "string-length()" function provided by infopath. This way we can provide validation to the user.

Hello Guys,

1) i want make date picker control as non editable. i have done it as a non editable field with conditional formatting, but i am not able to select the date from calender. i want date can be selected but not allow user to enter data.

2) How can we limit the length of multiline text box on a browser enabled form.
