in case of using Infopath 2007 you can use the "Multiple Selection Box". This type of listbox shows a horizontal scrollbar as opposed to the 'normal' listbox.

But unlike to the 'normal' listbox the first item in the list is selected by default. Unfortunately, while you can change which item is selected by default, it's not possible to turn off default selection.

Here's a work around for this second problem.

Create a multiple-selection list and add items to it. It should have a default item selected.

Create a new repeating text field in your data source (Type: field (element), Data type: text (string), repeating box is checked) in whatever group is appropriate.

Bind your multiple-selection list box to the new data source. If you check the properties of the box, you will now see that the default item is gone.

Delete the original data source

Hope that helps...

Regards, Karsten

How to display listbox control's horizontal scrollbar

Hi,
