When the user chooses other, a textbox is enabled and allows the user to define their own value. Here's where my problem comes in. Once the user enters their own value, the "other' attribute becomes unchecked. The textbox is still enabled, with the user-defined value, but without that box checked, it creates all sorts of confusion.

My "solution" for that problem, was to actually modify the "other"'s default value once the user inputs their own values. In doing so, the "other" option actually becomes enabled. However, I cannot figure out how to do it. I tried playing around in C#, but I cannot find anything that can modify that control's default value.

Any ideas?

Desired Output:

[ ] option a
[ ] option b
[x] other Custom Value

Actual Output:

[ ] option a
[ ] option b
[ ] other Custom Value
