One of requirement says that a textbox should be limited to 40 characters and a message should be displayed about the number of characters that are left to be utilized in that textbox. I am not sure how to go about this approach, because as far as my knowledge goes we cannot use javascript in Infopath 2007 and since Infopath involves xml stuff, we cannot get any direct reference of the textbox.

Can anyone give me an idea or a workaround to implemet this?

-bhavana bhat
