I made a form with the schema of one of the sub-xml files as the main data source. I then tried to open up the xml file in infopath but I get an error on load to the effect that a template can not be found. to associate the xml file do I have to add processing instructions?

Re: Working with xml documents and repeating sections

No - nothing like that yet. Some of these documents are made from InfoPath and others are auto-generated xml documents from a reporting system. All of these subdocuments are not complete (that is not all of the element are filled in) and I am using InfoPath to insert them into the master xml document and fill in the remaining data.

Speciffically what I need is to have the data in the secondary data source auto populate the main data source. Is there any way to map elements from data sources?

Hope that was clear enough.

Thanks,
