The displayed value is pointless to this discussion -- it simply is the text shown to the user so that they don't ever have to see the stored value.<br /><br />The way the drop-down list box is supposed to work is this:<br /><br />If a stored value matches the actual value in the field, then the display value is shown to the user.<br /><br />If there is no stored value which matches the actual value in the field, then the actual value in the field is displayed in the drop-down in place of a display value.<br /><br />If you are getting "Select..." then it would seem that your actaul value in the field has been reset to blank.https://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/thread/11722.aspxFri, 15 Sep 2006 08:59:22 GMT033a2e2d-04e2-4a9d-be01-a4634161eefd:11722Zeeker0https://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/thread/11722.aspxhttps://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=43&PostID=11722Hi<br />I have created a orderform published on a Sharepoint site.<br />In a drop-down list box I have entered some items that can be ordered.<br />If a change name or delete one entry in the listbox all previous orders with that entry looses the value.<br />Is this the way it is supposed to work?<br /><br />If I order "item A" and then "item A" is replaced with "item B" I don't want those orders to be blank (dispalys "Select...")<br />Someone with similar problem?<br />Best regards<br />Kim
