Editing the XSL is generally discouraged even internally for us who know it intimately. :) Better to come up with a sorted view in sharepoint and try to use that.

Re: Filter repeating tables

Hi Monica,

Two ways you can sort the data,

1. In Sharepoint list you need to be re-sorted as per your requirement.

2. One more way is the best is use a secondary datasource that is updated when a new entry is made. For the problem of sorting you can add an xsl:sort in your view after have made a preserve code block for that don't erase your xsl:sort!
Filter repeating tables

Hello,

I have another question:
how can I add a filter to a repeating table that is bound to a list in Sharepoint?I need a filter to sort the data the table is displaying.
I have a table that is currently taking all the items in the
Sharepoint list that were created by a specific user - I would also like to have the possiblitly to display these in alfabetical order (like a check box sort by name).
Do you think you could help me with this?

Thank you,
Monica
