Create a text box in infopath that will submit to that table, run a in access query that compares the records to the 3 letter value, and finally use this query to populate the drop down list in Infopath. However, the only problem i have with this is I would like the dummy table to be reset to a Null value everytime Infopath is closed. Is there any code that could submit a null value to a field when closed?

populate a querying drop down from a query

I am using an Access Database, unfortunatly we cannot buy a server due to costs and security concerns. However, my cousin had a good idea which i need help developing. He suggested typing the first 3 letters of a last name into a text box, query that, which will populate a list box, and then select the desired person from that box, and query him/her to bring up their record.

I'm trying to think of how to do this, but cant. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
