The default QAD printer field is hidden.
If I select QAD – Eagle RF from the business systems section I want that field to appear.
I also want the field to disappear if I un-select it (hadn't gotten that far though).
Business Systems data comes from a SharePoint list.
I did a query and found that the name did not populate so I was using the ID as the criteria at one point.

Thank you

Re: Create Rule Based On Multiple-Selection List Choice

I've had a hard time in the past with rules & conditions that are triggered by a field that is using a multi select - that is, it seems that there are some bugs specific to that control, because if I drag the same repeating field onto the form & make it a little repeating table w/ a text field, I don't have the same issue.

However - I'm having a little trouble sorting through your description - any chance you can attach your form to a reply under the Options tab?

Create Rule Based On Multiple-Selection List Choice

Hello,
After making progress from my first post I've been asked to add another field to an existing form.
I'm trying to hide/unhide a field base on choices in the list box. I want the field hidden until a specific box is checked.
My list box data comes from a SharePoint list. Through trial and error I was able to have the field appear when a box was checked only to find out any boxed checked would un-hide the field.

My structure:
businesssystems is my list box
qaprinter is the field I want to hide by default and un-hide
QAD – Eagle RF is the multi-select choice I want to trigger the qaprinter field appearing
eaglerf is the field i use to trigger the rule on qaprinter

businesssystems' condition is: count(../my:businesssystems[. = "QAD – Eagle RF"]) > 0
and the rule:
action: set a field's value
field: eaglerf
value: QAD – Eagle RF

eaglerf has no rules, default value is blank

qaprinter's condition is eaglerf is not equal to QAD – Eagle RF
the formatting rule it to hide this control.

I tried to be detailed, hope it wasn't confusing.
Appreciate your assistance.
Sorry for the formatting earlier, wasn't aware I could insert breaks.
