XML stores dates in yyyy/MM/DD format. The only work around would be to use substring functions to store the date value in another field in the format you want and then promote that, I'm afraid.

InfoPath 2013 form to SharePoint Online - Date form does not convert correctly

Hi everyone,

I am hoping that I can resolve the following issue:

I have created a form where one of my fields is a repeating table with on column which is a date field. I have set the field properties to be Data Type = Date and the format to be *3/14/2001 (this is the first choice in the "Display the date like this")

I have promoted the column and am merging the dates and when I publish and open the form and add dates, SharePoint returns (example) "2017/3/15". They merge fine, I just get the wrong format

Any thoughts on what I am missing? Will sharepoint return dates in the format that I select in the form or not?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Jamie L.
