In SP designer I created an external content type that gets its data from SQL Server. Then I launched info path from with SPD from the ribbon button "Create Lists and Forms". The problem started when I changed the control from the default Text box to a combobox, nothing showed up. but the control would not let me connect to the same connection to load the list of items. So I created a data connection. Everything worked as expected until I went to publish, I got the error that Additional Data connections not supported. I was worried anyways that even if it did export the connection would failed because there was not option to set it to use a Secure Store Service application ID.

So how do I fill these boxes with the values from the Main connection? And can I filter a related box to show the value from the Parent.

I did search the forums, but my results were slim. Probably because I don't know the infoPath lingo.
