The behavior you are describing is not something that can be done on a single button or event but there are a few work arounds to your desired outcome.

1. Create 1 form with 2 views and 2 data connections.

For this scenario, in the first view you would have the use fill out the necessary information, and on submit you would submit data via the first data connection, and then switch views to the other "form" and on submit send data on your second data connection.

2. A button and a link in your form

For this scenario, you would have a 2 step action for your user. The user would need to submit the original form, and then click a link to open your separate form.

Hope that helps!
Bre

Creating/submitting multiple forms accessible through one Infopath 2013 form

I am wondering if anyone might be able to help me out with this, and I hope I explain this correctly.
I have created an Employee New Hire Form to be completed and submitted when a new employee joins the company. If this employee requires new hardware to be ordered, I would like to have a button that would take the Form Filler to a Capital Expenditure Form to be completed and sent in with the New Employee Form.
I have an idea that this can be done with views, but how would I get the Cap-Ex form to submit at the same time with the New Employee Form? What would be ideal would be to have the Cap-Ex form send as an attachment in the form email, rather than in the view.
This will be a direct to email submission, not going into a SP library
