I think you're on the right track, but may have misunderstood my direction. You should have one SharePoint list, with a column for each of the values you'd like to cascade. I would then change your dropdowns to text fields, and have a rule on the Subject area to set the subject area expert to the value where the Subject area from the secondar matches the subject area in the man DS.

Hope that helps!
Bre

Re: drop down casscading

did get test file working however now I cannot get the orginal file working

Re: drop down casscading

I tried to update this and it is still not working. I've attached updated form above

Re: drop down casscading

Hello DDEBBABY,

It looks like the subject area is actually a list embedded in your form. I would suggest modifying one of the lists in your data connection to contain each piece of information as a column to create relational data. Then when a Subject area is chosen, you can cascade to set the values where you have a matching subject area.

Hope that helps!
Bre

drop down casscading

Can someone tell me what I have going on here. I have three fields

Subject area-Receives data from sharepoint list

Subject area expert-Receives data from sharepoint list

and supervisior email.

The whole goal is when subject area is selected it will auto populate subject area expert and email. If you look at the Subject area expert it is pulling name and all sorts of other data not sure why. And I cannot get them to auto populate. The email is stored in a seperate list. Can anyone help please.

Looks like subject area is set to lookup field and expert is set to person or group is this why?

I was just told that the subject area expert needs to be a text box
