However, I cannot seem to make the filtering on a field, show any information. Here is what I tried:

Created a new dataconnection called "ITSRequests-filteronstatusofrequests"

Clicked on "Issue Status" & put in Specify FIlter Conditions: Issues stats is equal to "Not started" or "Needs Additional Information"

However, after doing that, the "Value" and "Display name" fields just show a ","

When I put the file into a form and publish it, nothing is appearing in the field, and Yet I KNOW I have items with both statuses.

What am I doing wrong?

Here are some screenshots.

https://picasaweb.google.com/104584894518775790484/August202013?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCNrQoqOg-IjW4wE&feat=directlink

Re: Lookup list from a specific view

How about promoting the status of the item and filtering on that?

Modify the data connection to include the new status field and also change it to not load on open.

Now, create a button with a rule that has two actions: set the value of the query parameters to the status you want and query the data connection.

Voila!

Lookup list from a specific view

Question: I have a list we'll call ITS.
In ITS, I have a field that looks at the list and shows all the field contents. Let's call this field: Related Items.

Scenario:

Currently, "Related Items" shows every other item on the list.

What I want to happen: "Related Items" only shows results of a specific view (example: Active items)
Right now, the field shows old data as well as new data. I want to keep the field, but have it only show the "Active Items"...I thought I could do this with InfoPath and the data connections but I can't see a direct way to do this to a specific view.

Any ideas or suggestions?
