Might be easier to do a quick online meeting. Send me email and maybe we can synch up later this week. Or, come to our Weekly Webinar on Thursday and bug me at the end. :)

Re: Creating a 'summary' view to only display fields that have been filled in

I hadn't thought about tables or categories. I'm still fairly new to InfoPath and that's the primary reason I've got so many checkboxes. Lack of experience laying things out. Could you give me an idea how tables might help me out? Say I've got 20 check boxes (OK, stop laughing) that I convert to a table. If a user selects just one item (cell?), how could I ultimately display just that one item in a summary page?

Re: Creating a 'summary' view to only display fields that have been filled in

Might also try putting them in separate sections and hiding the sections if the fields inside them are blank.

Re: Creating a 'summary' view to only display fields that have been filled in

Hmmm...have you tried to put them into categories and then in tables? Because my form has many checkboxes, I haven't found a way to arrange the filled-in fields on a summary view so that they all collapse up in a nice order. I've been able to hide the empty controls but now the filled in fields are visible in the middle of the page.

Re: Creating a 'summary' view to only display fields that have been filled in

You could create a duplicate fields and those fields have conditional statements that say "if fieldx is not blank, set fielda value to fieldx" and a statement that says to hide it if blank. FieldX is the original field and fieldA is the new field. So basically you are pulling in the information IF something is there and if not, the field is hidden. Does that help?

Creating a 'summary' view to only display fields that have been filled in

What I'm looking to achieve is a summary of only the items that a user has checked or entered. My forms views have text fields, dates and check boxes. I'd like the final, summary page to only display only those items that were entered or checked. I'm not sure how to configure a new 'view' to go get only these fields to display.
