I am using Infopath 2010/Sharepoint 2010 and I have question regarding secondary data connections and repeating tables. The requirement is

1. There is a sharepoint list (department) and sharepoint form library (projects assigned to department)

2. Need to generate summary report on click of button which will loop through all departments from sharepoint list and get corresponding project details from sharepoint libary.

Till now, I have I tried this

1. Create two data connections (one for each - department and projects)

2. Create parent repeating section using data fields from department data connection

3. Create child repeating section using data fields from project data connection

4. Create a rule on child repeating section with conditional formatting that do not display the section if dept from department data connection is not equal to dept from project data connection

But somehow this does not seem to work. I am quite sure I am messing up something.

Any suggestions or corrections would be appreciated.

Attached are screenshots (Department is referred as Branch of Operation in screenshot)
