What I typically do is have two sections. One section is for data input, with all the controls.

The second section is for printing, using Expression boxes to display the data in a nice, orderly fashion.

In your form, you'll need to provide a mechanism (a rule, for example) that hides Section1 and displays Section2 when the user wants to print.

Good luck!

Infopath 2007 print views

Can you create a print view in which the control itself or the text box does not print, but the data in it is?

Or do I have to export/import the data from the form into a work doc or template?

Or maybe enter the data into the form and save it to a database and then import it into a word template?

Either case how do I do this if possible?

The reason I am asking is that I want to create a form that the user enters information and that information is entered into a document with out any controls being viewed. Just the data gets entered into the document from the form. Its kind of a document generator, but also enters the data to a database. I guess I am trying to create a forms driven case management system using InfoPath 2007 on SharePoint 2007. Any help or direction is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
