I am not aware of any easy trick, probably there is a way to manually do it with the source files but it always comes down to whether that is faster than just rebinding.

The most important question to ask is whether you really need two seperate form templates. Best practice, if you have two form versions which use similar data structures is just to have one "super" form instead of two.

With multiple views and the ability to identify the form user and their group memberships, department, company, etc you should be able to use one form to serve two groups of users and reduce a lot of complexity between the two forms.

Or make a copy of form A, do a save as in designer then craft form B and just remove and replace what is not similar is another approach.

How to copy a view between 2 different Infopath 2003 templates?

Hi,

I've searched the forum but cannot find a how to do this....hope you can help.

I have 2 infopath 2003 templates (A & B). I want to copy some sections from a view in template 'A' into a section in template 'B' without having to re-do all the data bindings.

I have heard that you can do it somehow by creating a new view and putting the sections you want into it then use the 'Extract form files' function, but i dont know if this is correct or what else needs to be done.

Thanks,
