I would do and do much as Clay suggests and use a field to control what view is shown by setting rules from the 'Tools', 'Form Options', 'Save and Save As' and click 'Rules' to set set field1 to A for first view, B for second view and so on. This way you use validation linked with your workflow field on the field you want filled in on say view 2.

So If @Workflow = B and Field 1 is blank the display a dialogue box.

I hope this helps

now i know in code how to make a field required, what im finding annoying is a way to chack on form load if it is a cirtain view, if it is then i need an event, is there anyway in code on the form load event to check if it is e.g. view 2?

Best regards
