I have multiple dynamic sections in my print view that makes formatting a challenge. I too remember the "keep section together" option in crystal reports. It would be nice to have a better way of handling the print view for dynamic sections. If anybody else has any suggestions or ways to better handle this please let me know. Keeping counters for each repeating section in my print view just isn't that sufficient. A "Keep section together" option would be awesome!

Re: Any way to keep a repeating table together

Hi again E,
I know of no such feature in InfoPath. In general, printing support is not great. You could print the form through Word (using print XSL for Word) and write some logic to check width or whatever, but while it's doable, it's complicated.

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Re: Any way to keep a repeating table together

First Post and self teaching InfoPath for a while now. This sloution of putting in a page break would work for me but how do I write the conditional formatting that checks:

If richtextfield < 177px Hide

Thanks in advance,

E. Insert a section just above the repeating table.
2. In the section, add a page break.
3. Add conditional formatting to the section that hides it unless the table has more than 4 rows.

If you always want your table to start at the top of a new page, just place a page break before the repeating table.

Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP]

Any way to keep a repeating table together

Is there any way to keep a repeating table together when printing? I have a repeating table that might have 10 values and 4 will be on one page and the remaining 6 will be on the next.

I think Crystal reports has a "keep section or group together" checkbox.

thanks!
