As far as an easier way to map repeating data to multiple SharePoint lists, there is a much easier way. What version of SharePoint/InfoPath are you currently using? The method uses qRules to set up a connection to each of your lists. In order for qRules to work, you will need sandboxing enabled on your SharePoint site.

The best part about using qRules to do the mapping is that it is entirely codeless, and much easier than using CAML!

Here is a link to the method that uses qRules mapping: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/hilary/archive/2012/06/27/qrules-submittosharepointlist-walkthrough-for-v4-2-working-with-existing-data-amp-submitting-a-single-mapping.aspx

Here is a link to more info about qRules: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules_overview.aspx

Hope this helps!
Bre

Bre Huston

I am new to this forum...

I am trying to create a form that will submit to multiple SharePoint Lists. I have attempted to use the CAML method, but I have some time and date fields and I'm not sure how to declare them in my CAML document. The form I'm creating is a time off request form, and I want to have a repeating table that submits to another list where they can request to schedule makeup time if needed. They can makeup the time throughout the week so there may be multiple makeup time requests for one time off request. It makes more sense to me to have that data push to a different list so that each makeup time request is its own record instead of having a bunch of fields MakeUpDate1, MakeUpDate2 etc. This will make it much easier to query.

The fields I need are for the makeup time list are:

ID
Date
Start Time
End Time

I would also like the ID to auto fill from an earlier field in the form. Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated. I'm getting frustrated. Thanks!
